How we compare

The reference is one provider’s Real-Time Premium plan at $99/month, with 180 translation minutes per language. We use its translation allowance, not its larger caption-only allowance. Both plans use monthly billing; annual and special discounts are excluded. This is one plan example, not a market average.

Reference: $99 ÷ 180 = $0.55/min. soriao Standard: $39 ÷ 3,000 = $0.013/min. The 97.6% difference uses unrounded rates. Using fewer minutes increases the effective cost per minute. Features, language coverage and translation quality may differ.

How much can I try for free?

New accounts receive 90 free minutes. No card is required. This is a one-time trial, not a monthly allowance. Repeated trials with different accounts on the same app installation are limited.

Am I charged by the minute?

Plans are monthly subscriptions. The per-minute figure is the monthly price divided by all included minutes. Unused time does not roll over.

How do you improve caption accuracy?

Add names and specialist terms to your glossary to guide speech recognition and translation. Previous sentences also provide context. Results depend on audio quality, pronunciation and content, so try it with your own voice.

Where can I use it?

Use Korean captions and English translation in a current Chrome or Edge browser on Windows or Mac. Send captions to OBS, a separate browser window, or audience phones. The optional desktop app adds local OBS output and a native caption window.

Does it work without internet?

Speech recognition and translation need an internet connection. If the soriao translation server is unavailable, the studio switches to backup translation. Web OBS and remote audience screens reconnect when a relay is available again. The desktop app’s local outputs work independently of the relay.
